2007 Year of the MP3 Part IV: Universal experimenting MP3 with a full album
Emilie Simon, one of the most respected electronic artists in France is offering her 2006 Olympia live concert at Olympia (21 tracks) as a full DRM-Free MP3 album !!! Pascal Negre, CEO of Universal Music France has been know for the leader of the anti-piracy frond in the country for years and yet the major company he is CEO of (Vivendi Universal is a french company) is the first to make available a full album in MP3 (this is also the first experiment of this kind in France). I think that Emilie Simon may be a great part of it if not the one that encouraged it... The MP3 tracks are available as 192k MP3s ... only to french residents (who use a Windows browser or fakes it right now)
You heard it on a full indie no-DRM french music store but I'm not ashame, as a big fan of Emilie Simon :)
